Prisms
Prisms is my senior collection completed in the spring and showcased on May 11th, 2019. I was inspired by ocean lifeforms such as coral, reflective material, and shibori inspired 3D heat setting techniques. The reflective material was laser cut by a design that I created in Adobe Illustrator to echo organic shapes found naturally in nature. The 3D textiles were created by heat setting different items to imitate the texture of coral. My goal was to create otherworldly sea creatures that were sleek and beautiful, using techniques to excite the imagination.
